Tamara is a preferred provider for several health insurance companies including Cigna, United Healthcare, Sutter Health, UMR, Optum Health, Multiplan, Blue Shield, Blue Cross, Aetna, Corvel, Clarispoint, State Fund Worker’s Compensation, Coventry, various auto insurances, and others. We recommend calling your insurance provider to make sure that your specific plan covers acupuncture. We also can help you with the process of verifying benefits. We will either bill directly for you, or provide insurance forms (“superbills”) to be submitted to your insurance company directly. We will do our best to verify benefits prior to a first appointment. If we are not able to do this, clients are asked to pay for their initial visit while we verify insurance coverage. Many plans require a simple copay. Others may involve paying a percentage of the visit to be paid after the deductible is met. We are available to help you figure out your benefits.
For clients who pay at the time of service and who are not requiring that we bill insurance are offered a “time of service” rate.

- Initial visit (approximately 90 minute session, including health history, diagnostic assessment, acupuncture and herbal recommendation if appropriate)
- Return visits (approximately 60 minute session, including acupuncture and herbal recommendation if appropriate)
- Child return visits (approximately 30 minute sessions, including acupuncture, herbal recommendation and other modalities such as gua sha and moxa; treating ages newborn through teen).
